Dr. Patel pursued his undergraduate at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill and medical school studies at St. George’s University School of Medicine.  He completed his pathology residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  He completed his Hematopathology fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta.  He also completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal/Surgical Pathology.

Dr. Patel is board certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology as well as fellowship training in Hematopathology and GI and Liver Pathology.  He is licensed in Louisiana and South Carolina.
